Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Services

Interlog acts as an international freight forwarder and logistics provider. We coordinate the transportation, storage, and handling of goods by air, sea, road, and multimodal methods, including customs clearance and warehousing.

2. Client Responsibilities

The client must provide accurate and complete information and documentation related to the shipment. Interlog is not liable for delays, penalties, or damages resulting from incorrect or missing data.

3. Liability Limitations

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Interlog’s liability is limited in accordance with the applicable international conventions (e.g. Hague-Visby Rules, CMR, Montreal Convention).

  • For non-convention cargo, our liability is limited to USD 2 per kg or USD 100 per shipment, whichever is lower.

  • Interlog is not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages.

4. Cargo Insurance

Insurance is not automatically included. Upon request, Interlog may arrange cargo insurance on behalf of the client, at the client’s cost. Uninsured shipments travel at the client’s risk.

5. Force Majeure

Interlog is not liable for any failure or delay in service caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, port closures, political unrest, or pandemics.

6. Customs & Compliance

Interlog will act on behalf of the client to facilitate customs clearance, but compliance with all import/export laws remains the responsibility of the client. All duties and taxes are payable by the client unless otherwise agreed.

7. Storage & Warehousing

All stored cargo is handled with reasonable care. Interlog is not responsible for deterioration of perishable goods or damage caused by inherent defects in the cargo.

8. Payment Terms

All invoices are due within 14 days from date of issue unless otherwise stated. Late payments may incur interest charges. Cargo may be withheld until payment is received (lien rights apply).

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Harare, unless otherwise agreed.

10. Acceptance of Terms

Use of Interlog’s services constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. A full version can be requested from our offices or downloaded from our website.
